A new Compactable Warehouse for Beiplast S.r.l.

Based in Novellara (Reggio Emilia), Beiplast S.r.l. is an international company specialised in the design and manufacture of technical items in thermoplastic materials. Founded in 1963 under the brand C.S. by Corradini & Subazzoli, the company boasts over 60 years of experience, standing out for its innovation, expertise, and a co-design oriented approach.

Thanks to continuous investments in staff training and cutting-edge technologies, Beiplast operates on a 15,000 m² site with 4 manufacturing plants, 20 presses, and a team of 35 collaborators. The finished-goods warehouse is located next to the production facilities —a choice that allows optimisation of logistics and reduction of internal handling costs.

Logistics needs: optimised space and operational efficiency

With continuously growing production and an increasingly diversified range of technical plastic items, Beiplast had an urgent need for a logistics solution that could guarantee the maximum utilisation of available space, without building additional warehouses.

Following the company’s philosophy focused on sustainability and rational use of resources, the goal was to build only what was strictly necessary and functional, at the same time ensuring top operational efficiency and facilitating warehouse access for multiple operators.

ROSSS’s solution for Beiplast S.r.l.

ROSSS implemented a system of compactable pallet racking on mobile bases through a custom-made design for the company.

The installation was configured with two independent racking systems, which move autonomously in order to increase usability and allow multiple personnel to access storage aisles simultaneously.

Technical characteristics:

  • Frame height: 9.3 m
  • Total pallet places: 3,200
  • Load capacity per span on mobile bases: 3,000 kg
  • Rear fall-protection nets: 100
  • Load units: pallets of finished plastic parts

This configuration allows Beiplast to make full use of the warehouse space, doubling storage capacity compared with traditional shelving while ensuring the highest safety, also through the integration of anti-fall systems.

An efficient and sustainable warehouse

The creation of the new compactable warehouse represents an important step forward for Beiplast in terms of efficiency, organisation and sustainability. The possibility of increasing storage capacity without having to build new structures translates into significant savings in space and resources, in line with the company’s values.

A project that once again confirms ROSSS’s ability to deliver bespoke logistical solutions that are innovative, safe and perfectly integrated into its clients’ production processes.
